HWW Grant Making

We support our selected nonprofit partners through grant making so that they may continue to provide enriched education for at-risk youth, relieve the impact of family poverty and create economic empowerment for women.

While we recognize there are many other organizations doing valuable work, we regret that we cannot accept unsolicited proposals for either grant making or partner activities.

Since we began our grant making program in 2005, we have given more than $2 million in grants. Our grant support for nonprofit organizations and support for our initiatives is accomplished solely through funds raised and contributed by our members and generous funding partners.

We conduct one grant cycle per year and the average grant awarded ranges from $10,000-$30,000. We focus our grant making partnerships primarily in the New York City area, with additional work in the tri-state area and to microfinance organizations with an international focus.  Currently grant making is suspended and no further grantmaking is anticipated at this time.
