iMentor logoMentors Needed

iMentor (30 Broad Street, New York, NY 10004) is an innovative youth mentoring program that provides students in low-income communities with college-educated mentors. Pairs build their relationships through a weekly email and monthly in person meeting while helping students build key competencies linked to college success.  iMentor offers enough flexibility for busy professionals to participate while also ensuring that students get the structure and guidance they need to reach their goals. This year, iMentor is looking for hundreds of new volunteers to work with high school students one-on-one to build a bright future. And you won’t have to do it alone – mentors are supported every step of the way with training sessions, networking events, and coaching from iMentor staff. Prospective volunteers should plan to attend a Mentor Training Session after submitting an application.  Following, volunteers will participate in a 15 minute interview, reference check, and background check as part of our screening process.  After completing our screening process, volunteers will be matched with their mentees in the fall.  Please note that this is a multi-year commitment.     Sign up now.
