Baby Buggy collects gently used and new gear, clothing, and products for infants and young children and distributes these items to families in need in the five boroughs of New York City. Its distribution network consists of over 60 social service sites, including respected organizations such as Safe Horizon, Sanctuary For Families, Women In Need, Inwood House, NYC Family Court Child Centers, The Partnership for the Homeless, and select foster care agencies. Baby Buggy provides thousands of children in need with basic necessities such as cribs, high chairs, strollers, blankets, shoes, hats, gloves, clothing, and outerwear.
Volunteers assist in preparing donated items for distribution. This preparation could consist of compiling clothing and gear donations for our community partners, repairing brand new clothing samples, or sorting donated clothing by gender and size. Please visit the for more information.
Bottomless Closet
promotes economic self-sufficiency by providing interview skills,
business clothing and ongoing career development and support programs
to economically disadvantaged women. Programs include: resume writing
and review, job interview preparation, workplace protocol advice,
presentation skills guidance, and mentoring. Volunteers are needed
to mentor and coach clients, create workshops aimed at supporting
career and personal development, and help collect and inventory
clothing.

The Children’s Storefront www.thechildrensstorefront.org is an independent, tuition-free school in Harlem committed to providing a comprehensive education to children with varied academic strengths from preschool through eighth grade. DreamYard is committed to helping transform Bronx public schools and communities through the power of collaborative, project-based arts learning. As one of the largest arts education providers in the Bronx, DreamYard impacts the social and intellectual growth of thousands of Bronx youth through safe, positive and creatively challenging programs. DreamYard’s team of professional artists partner with classroom teachers and community educators to help students learn in new ways and develop literacy and communication skills. Iris House
Started in 1991, Iris House is this country's first community-based organization whose services are designed specifically to meet the needs of HIV-infected women and their families. Iris House is an integrated and coordinated program that provides many services in one site. The program is designed to address all of the difficulties HIV-infected women face when they seek to manage their disease. Iris House provides a variety of services to over 400 women and their children with AIDS, including healthcare, housing, nutrition and custody planning.

- serves 140 competitively selected Fellows from low-income families annually, and helps them gain admission to and succeed at top high schools and colleges through a 5 1/2 year educational enrichment program.
